  What’s so great about the Junction?

·        11 to 17 year olds focussed on fun, and building lasting and meaningful friendships

 

·        A high octane program of indoor and outdoor, home and away activities to conquer challenges, achieve goals build team work and life skills.

 

·        We focus on spirituality and check out real life issues, like relationships, peer pressure and identity. Bring on Bean bags and supper for lively and informal discussions.

 

·        Food and refreshments are always a highlight including…

Caro's supersize me, triple up, sticky chocolate cake and…

Geoff’s world famous barbeques.

 

·        Regular interaction with other youth groups is an opportunity to mix with new faces at, say, the Indoor Sports Centre.

 

·        We look at life skills such as first aiding with St Johns youth brigade

 

          Things we don’t promise, ever

·        Corden bleu cooking tuition by Steve.

·        Truck and Tractor washes with Geoff.

·        Chemistry NCEA level one homework solutions by Alistair.

·        Camel rides with Allison.

·        Our ancient leaders, yeah all over the age of 17, have attitude

·        We have some of the most welcoming, fun loving, talented, inspiring young people around

       Other Stuff

To attend do I have to belong to St David’s or even be a Christian? Nope, wherever you are at you can check us out.   
Our focus is not on rules but respecting ourselves, each other and property. The crew are expected to honour our codes of behaviour.
Our leaders have pledged to protocols adopted by Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand and have been cleared by NZ police check.
Unless otherwise stated, all our events take place at St Davids Lighthouse complex, cnr of Rainforth and Main Street.
Parents and caregivers consent and contact details are required for our offsite events
