Who are we?

We are a Presbyterian Church in Palmerston North, the heart of the Manawatu province of New Zealand. We hope you enjoy traveling around our new web site and welcome your comments and enquiries!

Where are we?

St David’s is to be found on the corner of Main St and Rainforth St, in the suburb of Terrace End, on the east side of Palmerston North. It is on the road out to Ashhurst and the Manawatu Gorge.

Our Mission Statement

We are a Christ-centred, community-facing parish, following the way of mercy, love and peace.

We strive to accept, encourage and empower each other to live in the way of Christ, with God’s help.

What is remarkable about us?

	We offer warm hospitality, that with Christ’s love, is accepting of all
	Our worship is thoughtful and inspiring, using traditional and creative, participatory styles
	We have a “community-facing” attitude, choosing to engage with the local community in programmes and pastoral care.
	We are a Kids Friendly church: we focus on making all aspects of our church attuned to the needs of children and families
	We see each other as companions on the Christian journey, and aim to encourage each other study and with prayer
	The leadership of the church is shared by the minister, elders and paid staff and is open and accountable to congregation
	Our buildings are first of all a community centre, with the worship centre at their heart.
